What we measure

Which water quality tests does WPSBD provide?

Choose parameters that match your water source and concern. TDS is free; we quote the other on-site tests after confirming the parameters and sample count.

TDS

Total dissolved solids

TDS estimates the combined level of dissolved material in water. It helps us compare source water with purifier output, but it doesn’t identify each substance.

pH

Acidity and alkalinity

A pH reading shows how acidic or alkaline the sample is. It helps explain taste, corrosion, scaling, and treatment performance.

CaCO₃

Water hardness

Hardness testing checks mineral content linked to scale on faucets, kettles, pipes, heaters, and purifier components.

Fe

Iron

Iron testing helps investigate reddish colour, metallic taste, staining, sediment, and repeated blockage in treatment stages.

Cl₂

Free chlorine

Free-chlorine testing measures the disinfectant residual at the sampling point. We interpret it with the water source and treatment stage.

NTU

Turbidity

Turbidity measures cloudiness caused by suspended particles. The result helps assess clarity and how particles may affect treatment or disinfection.

Water sources

Which water sources can we test?

A useful report identifies where every sample came from. We record supply, inlet, and purified-output samples under separate names.

Tap water sample collected for water quality testing in Dhaka

Tap and WASA water

We collect the sample at the point you use and record the source. On-site readings help compare supply water across taps or treatment stages.

Groundwater sample prepared for quality testing

Deep-tube-well water

We test on-site parameters from deep-tube-well water and record visible colour, odour, sediment, and the sampling point.

Water purifier inlet line checked before source-to-output testing

Purifier inlet water

The inlet sample provides the baseline for your purifier. We use it to compare what enters the system with what comes out.

Glass of purified water ready for output testing

Purified-water output

We test water at the purifier faucet and compare it with the inlet sample. The report keeps both readings together.

Source-to-output test

How WPSBD tests your water quality

We don’t stop at one number. We identify each source, measure the selected parameters, compare relevant results, and provide a written report.

  1. 01

    We identify the source

We record whether the sample comes from WASA, a tap, a deep tube well, a purifier inlet, or purified-water output.

  2. 02

    We collect clean samples

We take each sample from its named point and keep inlet and output samples separate for a meaningful comparison.

  3. 03

    We measure and compare

We run the selected on-site tests, record the units, and compare relevant source and output readings side by side.

  4. 04

    You receive a written report

We provide the recorded results with clear notes and practical filter or purifier recommendations based on the measurements.

Clear test pricing

How much does water quality testing cost?

TDS testing is free. We confirm the price of other on-site and laboratory tests before you approve them.

FREE

TDS test

The TDS test is free as a standalone home visit and free during repair, filter replacement, or installation visits.

QUOTED FIRST

On-site advanced tests

We quote pH, hardness, iron, free-chlorine, and turbidity testing after confirming the parameters and number of samples.

LABORATORY

Arsenic and bacteria tests

Arsenic and bacteria testing goes to a laboratory when you request it. You approve and pay the laboratory charge separately.

A direct answer

Does a free TDS test prove that water is safe?

No.

TDS estimates the combined level of dissolved material. It doesn’t identify individual chemicals, arsenic, or bacteria, so a low reading alone can’t prove safety.

Use TDS to compare purifier inlet and output. Investigate a specific health concern with the relevant chemical or microbiological laboratory test.

Written results

Your report keeps every reading in context.

The report names each sample point, selected parameter, reading, unit, and relevant comparison. We also explain practical filter, purifier, or laboratory-testing next steps based on the measurements.

Why choose WPSBD

Why choose WPSBD for water quality testing?

Our 24-technician team keeps sampling, measurement, and reporting in one clear process, so you can understand the results before deciding what to do next.

Source and output compared

We keep inlet and purified-water readings together, so you can see the measured change across the purifier.

Results recorded with units

The written report names the sample point, selected parameters, readings, and units instead of giving a verbal opinion alone.

Clear limits of each test

We explain what an on-site reading can show and when arsenic or bacteria needs separate laboratory testing.

Practical next-step advice

We use the measured results to discuss suitable filters, purifier stages, maintenance, or further laboratory testing.

Sites we visit

Testing at the point where you use the water

We visit homes, offices, restaurants, and commercial sites to test relevant tap, storage, purifier-inlet, and output samples.

Homes and apartments

Compare kitchen tap water, building supply, purifier inlet, and drinking-water output at the points your family uses.

Offices and workplaces

Test dispenser, purifier, tap, and storage-point samples used by employees or visitors.

Restaurants and cafés

Record readings from preparation taps, drinking-water points, purifier inlets, and treated output.

Commercial sites

Select the sampling points and parameters that match the site’s water source, treatment equipment, and daily use.

Customer stories

What Dhaka customers say about our water testing

Pre-launch testimonial copy for customers who used WPSBD water-quality testing.

WPSBD tested our kitchen tap and purifier output separately, then recorded both readings in one report. The comparison made the next step easy to understand.

FAQ

Water quality testing: questions we get asked

Is the TDS test really free at my Dhaka address?

Yes. WPSBD provides a free TDS test as a standalone home visit and during repair, filter replacement, or installation visits. A technician targets arrival within 90 minutes of confirmation. The free test covers TDS measurement; other on-site parameters and laboratory tests have separate quoted charges.

Does a TDS test prove that water is safe to drink?

No. TDS estimates the combined level of dissolved material but doesn’t identify each substance or detect bacteria. A low reading can’t rule out arsenic or microbial contamination. Use TDS for source-to-output comparison, then request the relevant laboratory test when a specific safety concern needs investigation.

Which water quality tests does WPSBD provide?

We provide on-site TDS, pH, hardness, iron, free-chlorine, and turbidity testing. TDS is free. We quote the other on-site tests after confirming your parameters and sample count. Arsenic and bacteria testing is available through a laboratory when requested, with the customer paying the laboratory charge.

Which water sources and properties can you test?

We test tap water, WASA supply, deep-tube-well water, purifier inlet water, and purified-water output. Visits are available for homes, apartments, offices, restaurants, cafés, and commercial sites across Dhaka. We name every sampling point in the written report so the readings remain clear and comparable.

Will I receive a report, recommendation, and free retest?

You receive a written report for the selected tests, including sampling points, recorded readings, units, comparison notes, and practical filter or purifier recommendations. The service doesn’t include a free retest. Any later verification visit or repeat measurement is booked separately under the applicable testing charge.
